Great bag for the outdoor photographer! : Clik Elite CE612BU Cloudscape, Blue

I bought this backpack used from the original owner who had never used it. And I love it! I am a dedicated hiker who needs to carry his gear with him all the time. My current setup includes a Canon T1i, with an 18-55mm lens and a 55-250mm telephoto. I also carry a fish-eye lens, filters, several SD cards, batteries, cables, and other small items in two Lowepro bags that attach to the straps on the waist-belt of the backpack. I also carry a really heavy Velbon video tripod with a fluid-head because of my video needs. This setup utalizes all the nooks and crannies on this pack but still it has plenty of room for a thermos, food, extra clothes, climbing gear, etc. Overall, I am very impressed at Clik Elite's ability to create such a good hybrid between a hiking pack and a DSLR backpack. I would however caution people against buying this strictly for the purpose of carrying their camera gear. If you are gonna spend this amount of money just to have a good bag for carrying your gear from shoot to shoot, invest in a bag more dedicated to that purpose. And for those wondering, the DSLR dedicated pouch isn't all that big. It fits my T1i (with a 18-55mm lens attached), my telephoto, and has just enough room for one more lens. This probably won't fit anything bigger then a 300mm so don't expect it to be stellar. Though I must note that the pouch does a great job of keeping the camera protected and out-of-the-way. Because the pouch is at the very top of the backpack, you never have to go digging through things to get your camera out, and the design keeps out water, dust, and other nasties. Overall, a great backpack for the outdoor photographer! Hope this helps!
